Freshmen (9th Grade)
Freshman Advisement & Registration: We invite all families of 9th graders to take part in Freshman Advisement & Registration of their electives for next school year. We are offering evening appointments (March 27th) & day appointments (March 28th). Deadline to sign up for an appointment is Friday, March 17th. If families do not sign up for an appointment, the student will be pulled for elective registration prior to the advisement dates. 9th Grade Initiatives:
- Parent Orientation Meeting (August)
- Classroom Lesson in the fall semester to cover promotion requirements, graduation requirements, succeeding in high school, and career research to identify and save 3 careers of interest to the Career Cruising portfolio.
- Conflict resolution lessons
- 9th Grade Advisement with parent and student to create an individualized graduation plan (December)
- Freshman 101 via homeroom classes- orientation, schedule explanation, GPA calculatioin, promotion requirements, graduation requirements
- Get I.N. (Involved Now)- getting involved in clubs & organizations
- Freshman Career Day & Career Fair with CTAE Department
- Freshman College Day
- Peer Mediation
