On Saturday, May 7, 2016, from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., The Baton Foundation will host its first annual orientation workshop. During the workshop, boys and their families will learn more about the foundation, the Cultural Heritage Program and the application process. Also, families will experience a sample program seminar. The P.A.T.H.E initiative is a college focused program that is tailored to high school students in a hopes of inspiring minority students to pursue secondary education and graduate from a college institution. Our program will support local schools by mentoring students, providing P.A.T.H.E initiative workshops and being advocates for the improvement of our educational system.

Each year, the FAMU NAA Metro Atlanta Chapter, Inc awards scholarships to incoming freshmen from Metro-Atlanta high schools. The awards begin at $1000 and are non-renewable. Fantastic Voyage, this is a bus trip for Atlanta-area high school students to visit the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical Universityduring Spring Preview Weekend, Feb 19-20, 2016.
Spring Preview is an excellent opportunity for prospective students from high schools and community colleges to learn more about the opportunities that await them at FAMU. Students and parents can learn about academic programs, student organizations and life on 'The Hill.' They will meet current students, faculty, staff, administrators and alumni.
There will be band auditions, academic departments, student services areas (financial aid, admissions and housing) The University awards academic scholarships on-the-spot to qualifying students
$150 pp, $75 Deposit due by Feb 1st, Balance due by Feb 6th
Parents are welcomed to attend.
Chartered bus departs Atlanta, Friday morning Feb 19th 5:00am and returns Saturday evening Feb 20th 7:00pm
